    Jillian McLuhan was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta in 1997. She lives in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and graduated with a BFA from Moravian University in 2020. Currently, Jillian is teaching film photography at Northampton Community College and she serves as the Art Program assistant. McLuhan was the gallery manager for the Allison Diamond Gallery and the assistant to the director of the Payne Gallery from 2017-2020.

    Most recently, Jillian exhibited her first solo exhibition at the Bradbury Sullivan LGBTQ Center in Allentown, PA.

    Jillian exhibited in Communications Hall Gallery at Northampton Community College alongside Marni Bowen. Their exhibits "Ode to the Former" and "Circulus" respectively, were available to view for students, faculty and staff alike. 

    McLuhan debuted her first solo exhibition “Release: Finding Liberation as a Crybaby” in Moravian College’s Space 105. She has also exhibited in the Madelon Powers Gallery at East Stroudsburg University, and the Dunning Gallery on Northampton Community College's Monroe Campus. McLuhan has curated for the art galleries at Northampton Community College, Space 105, the Allison Diamond Gallery and the Payne Gallery at Moravian University. 

    In the summer of 2018, she was a part of the SOAR (Student Opportunities for Academic Research) Internship, working as a researcher and studio assistant for Angela Fraleigh. McLuhan aided in promotion and outreach for Fraleigh’s exhibition at the Edward Hopper House Museum in Nyack, NY and corresponded for an interview with Elizabeth Thompson Colleary. McLuhan helped coordinate collaborations, source images, strategize concepts and visual possibilities for Fraleigh’s exhibition at the Delaware Art Museum.
